Mindful Caregivers Support Group

Being a caregiver is HARD! There’s no denying it. Whether it’s a role we’ve planned for and embraced, like being a parent, teacher, or healthcare professional, or one we’ve unexpectedly stepped into due to a sudden illness, injury, life change, or an aging parent, the demands can be overwhelming.

Too often, we push our own self-care aside or feel guilty for taking time to recharge.

Being a caregiver in both planned and unexpected circumstances while practicing mindfulness, has taught me invaluable lessons and practical strategies to navigate the challenges of caregiving. I’m deeply passionate about sharing these insights with you to help make the journey a little easier.

Through guided mindfulness practices and supportive discussions, you will learn how to:

  • Manage your own self care while caring for others

  • Reclaim physical, mental and emotional space

  • Build emotional resilience

  • Cultivate a deeper sense of presence and compassion

This group offers a supportive space for caregivers. Open to both professional and family caretakers, the program requires no prior experience with mindfulness. Join us to connect, share, and grow in your caregiving journey.

This group meets February 8 through April 26.

Participants may choose to attend individual sessions or join with a monthly membership.

Fee: $30 per session or $100 Monthly

Workshop: Breaking the Cycle

Are you ready to break free from automatic reactions like stress, frustration, or self-criticism that hold you back?

Are you ready to discover a deeper sense of self-awareness and break free from patterns that no longer serve you?

In this transformative workshop, participants will explore the intricate dynamics of the "Suffering Loop," a recurring cycle triggered by events that disrupt our internal balance and activate stress responses. Through guided mindfulness practices, participants will learn to identify and interrupt the elements of the loop, empowering them to break free from patterns of reactivity and self-criticism.

Participants will engage in the Suffering Loop Practice, which includes:

  1. Recognizing the Influence of Beliefs: Identifying limiting beliefs that fuel distress and learning how they narrow focus and create disconnection.

  2. Observing Internal Experience: Practicing mindful awareness of thoughts, feelings, emotions, physical sensations, and impulses in real-time.

  3. Challenging Limiting Beliefs: Pinpointing and questioning beliefs driving discomfort to uncover deeper truths.

  4. Grounding in Authenticity: Reconnecting with one’s authentic self to build resilience and inner balance.

  • "She was God-sent."

By the end of each week I would be so overwhelmed and wound up that the only way I was able to ‘reset’ was to drink myself into oblivion. I was lucky to find Maria. She was God-sent. I met her during one of my most stressful events that I’ve ever dealt with in my life... I no longer had the need to self medicate each week.

  • "Mindfulness influenced me."

I couldn’t believe how much mindfulness influenced me. The first time I tried mindfulness, I found it’s very hard to focus on myself. However, as a philosophy major student, I knew the importance of meditation. After many times of trying, I managed to feel the Descartes’s saying, “I think, therefore I am.”

  • "Maria’s role in bringing me mindfulness has proven a cheat code time and again."

There are some people that might get you, but not offer strategies to help. And some people full of approaches, but they don’t really know you to a. know what you need and b. how you need to receive it to process it and implement. Maria is uniquely both. Maria’s role in bringing me mindfulness has proven a cheat code time and again.
