Body Image Workshop
Each of us has constructed an image of our body, shaped by family, friends and culture—often leading to distorted attitudes about our body and our public and inner self. As a result we continuously struggle with negative self-talk and efforts to hide or change our physical appearance.
In our workshop you will practice mindful inquiry, and other helpful techniques to challenge distorted beliefs about your body and consequently about yourself. Practice includes group exercises, discussions and journaling. To enhance practices and outcomes, you will be given specific suggestions for implementing your practice between sessions. There will be 4 2-hour sessions. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to meet with Maria and George individually.
Join us on the way to a healthier, more compassionate sense of your body image and self.
